Portable/transportable balancing machines
We can provide our balancing machines to the companies that neither have balancing machines nor skilled workers to these machines, but want to use them at least once in a project. The large balancing machines are fixed on a stable concrete base. The machines with hard bearing system are modern, safe and precise, but they are not movable above 50 kg rotor weight. Our company produced and still manufactures machines with soft bearing supports. These machines need calibration with test weight, and have a much lighter machine bed. Our large balancing machines have a “super light suspension" and a self-adjusting roller system.
These machines are not heavy, they do not need a concrete base. They run on a light, welded steel machine bed, which only needs to be placed on the floor and set up horizontally with adjustable legs. A rotor with a weight of one ton can be balanced with a machine of 500 kg. When several rotors are involved, it is easier to transport the machine to the rotors. There can be other advantages if we do the balancing where the rotors are manufactured. If you need to remove material during the balancing, you may need a special machine for this, which may not provided by a balancing company.
If you need to weld a balancing weight, you may need a special technology that only the company that made the rotors has. If the company that made the rotors also makes the balancing, you can avoid the balancing becoming improper. When you make rotors, you can make mistakes. These can only be seen when we put the rotors in the balancing machine and turn them.
The unbalance measured on the balancing machine is the sum of the production errors. It can also be an error in the design, for example, an asymmetrical construction, but it also depends on the sequence of machining and also on the method. If the unbalance is very large, it may be impossible to balance, and therefore it can be unusable. It is important to reduce the degree of unbalance so that it can still be corrected on the product.
If the level of unbalance is not acceptable, then you need to change something in the production. It is easier to adjust the production properly if the balancing machine is close to the production.
We offer the unique possibility of renting balancing machines in Europe. Renting a machine is possible only with a skilled worker and for a few days or one or two weeks. A balancing machine is a valuable tool, so it is obvious that we require a guarantee that we will get our machine back in the original condition.
Long distances can increase the transportation costs, and therefore it is not always worth to transport. Our company is located in Hungary, so we can transport our machines mainly to the surrounding countries. Our balancing machines are relatively light, and the machine bed is also relatively light. But if we look at the whole machine, the machine bed is the biggest and the heaviest.
If there is a stable and strong steel bed (e.g. industrial track, railroad track, or other strong and flat steel structure) in the workshop where we are able to do the balancing, then it makes sense to use this. This way the weight and size of the machine we are transporting is smaller, which also makes the transport easier and cheaper. All these conditions are to be agreed when placing an order, we ask the customer for drawings and details of the rotor to be balanced.
