Only a few schools teach balancing as part of the training. Where it is taught, there you can get only theoretical knowledge. The person who has to deal with balancing tasks in his work is not in an easy situation. We often get such orders for balancing rotors that even the manufacturer who ordered us can't say exactly what he wants (to have done). We have to ask questions such as: Where will the rotor be installed? At what speed will it run? Where can we remove the excess material from or where can we add material to? In our workshop we sometimes organize so-called “spectacle balancing", where you can also see the process of balancing and how big the unbalance of a rotor was at the beginning and how we could reduce the unbalance. We say that the unbalance is a mistake that others make and that we have to correct. Since you can learn from the mistakes, many are happy to see how we balance a rotor. In doing so, we can also discuss what the manufacturer should do differently during production. It can also happen that a machine does not work properly despite the balancing of the rotor because it also has other faults.

With several decades of professional experience, we undertake both the teaching of small groups or individuals, as well as professional consultation in the field of balancing. In our workshop we can organize both basic theoretical education and versatile practical training. For this purpose we have the necessary technical equipment, balancing machines and rotors with technical defects. Our training is not accredited. It is a consultation where you can bring your self-made or designed rotor or a technical problem and we will help you to solve it and we will explain which parts need to be changed. We use the standards of balancing and case studies of similar rotors. We see the aspects of balancing and we can share that way of thinking. We show expert techniques to those who are to design or manufacture rotors or work on balancing machines. Instead of many years of struggle and many rejects, it pays to spend a few hours or days with us. There are of course many technical problems that we have not yet met, so we cannot do any teaching about them. We can speak in English or with the help of an interpreter we can give lectures in German.
