Balancing with balancing machines at our workshop
We have 8 balancing machines (2021). We have been involved in balancing for 20 years. We have many customers who regularly have their rotors balanced by us. We balance many kinds of rotors in a large number of pieces. We have a wide range of rotor sizes, many interesting and special pieces, as you can see in our photo galleries.
Our smallest machine (UB-1) is suitable for rotors between 2 grams and 1 kg. With this machine we can balance small plastic fans, impellers and gears or measure the unbalance of these. The workpieces are drived with flat rubber belt. We use these machines for training purposes too.
With the machine UB-15 we balance small CNC spindle motors, flywheels, small electric rotors etc. up to 15 kg. This is also a machine with belt drive.
We have a Schenck type balancing machine for rotors from 10 to 100 kg. This is the machine we use the most. With this machine we do balancing of:
x crankshafts of vehicles (with bob weight if it is necessary), flywheels, clutches,
x fans with diameter up to 900 mm
x impellers of pumps (clear water, sewage)
x grinder rotors
x components of airplanes (compressor wheels, turbines, nose cones, etc.)
x pulleys etc.
The machine is 2m long.
We have a special balancing machine for cardan shafts. This machine has four racks with a measuring instrument, the maximum length of rotors is 5m. With the well-variable roller system, you can easily support even special axle ends and hidden axle bearings.
We use the UB-1000 balancing machine for balancing large rotors (weight: 100-1200 kg, diameter: up to 2 m). This is a portable and transportable balancing machine, where there is no restriction on the length of the rotor. We balance on this machine for example separators, mills, fans with diameter over 900 mm, and also large drums.
We have built a special machine for balancing the rotors of mulching machines. We use it in the production of rotors of a German customer. The maximum rotor weight of this machine is 1200 kg, the maximum length is 3m. It is very easy to change the machine from one type to another.
We have also built a special balancing machine for balancing the tubes (pipes) for mulcher rotors. The rotor is made of a tube, the wall of which is very thick. These tubes are not so very precise. If the wall thickness is not the same everywhere, then it is unbalanced. After machining the tube on a turning lathe, the unbalance can be 2 to 6 kg, or can be even more. If we do not deal with it, it is very difficult to balance the rotor at the end of the production. Therefore, we have constructed a special balancing machine to balance the tube at the beginning of the production process. The balancing weight is placed inside the tube and welded on. With this machine it is possible to balance a pipe with diameter up to 400 mm. Only the very large balancing machines are suitable for supporting rotors with such a large diameter. Most balancing machines drive the ends of the rotors by cardan shafts, but it is very difficult to attach them to the tube. We therefore drive the tube with a belt.
The UB5T balancing machine is our newest machine. On this machine we can balance rotors up to 10 tons. The diameter of the rotor can be maximum 3m, the length is not limited. In our workshop, due to the load capacity of our crane, we are currently unable to balance rotors that are heavier than 5 tons.
